iCRV Radio's Library Chat will once again host Connie Bombaci to help debut the children's book, Hogan's Hope: Finding a Forever Home of Love and Acceptance. Bombaci will be sitting next to a first-rate and outstanding guest, Gayle Byrne - author, children's librarian, and editor, who will be talking about her book, Sometimes It's Grandmas and Grandpas.

Bombaci brings her internationally-award-winning book, Hogan’s Hope, to children of all ages. This is the first of her children’s editions which will launch at this year’s Parmelee Farm Artisan Market on September 7, 2019 from 10 AM to 3 PM.

Bombaci decided to write the first of her children’s book after countless requests from readers of her award-winning books, Hogan’s Hope: A Deaf Hero’s Inspirational Quest for Love and Acceptance (secular edition) and Hogan’s Hope: A Deaf Dog, A Courageous Journey, and A Christian’s Faith (Christian edition).
Hogan, a rescued deaf pup, provides the inspiration to hold tight to our faith and persevere through the challenges of hardship, prejudice, discrimination, or handicap. His success reveals that all things are possible with hope and that each one of us, no matter what, is worthy of rescue, love, acceptance, and a forever home.
In this children’s edition, younger children journey with Hogan as he hopes for his forever home where is accepted and loved despite his deafness. They learn that everyone is worthy, no matter what, and that they must hold onto their own hope.
Saved from neglect when he was only eighteen-months-old, Hogan realized his hope for a forever, loving home and received wholehearted understanding of his unique characteristics. Bombaci shares that success can happen regardless of our individual differences and that being different makes each one of us very special. She encourages children to be kind and to always hold onto their hope and belief that dreams really do come true. With hope, anything is possible.

Hogan’s Hope has received a multitude of awards some of which include the 2019 IBPA Benjamin Franklin Silver Medal for Inspirational, Readers’ Favorite Gold for Animals/Pets, 2018 IBPA Benjamin Franklin Silver Medal for Animals/Pets, Readers’ Favorite Bronze for Christian Non-Fiction, Christian Independent Publishers Association Winner of Biography/Memoir, and Dan Poynter Legacy Award for Non-Fiction.

Rescued from severe neglect, this heroic dog prevailed as he triumphant in his spirit of hope.

Hogan’s incredible success led to TV appearances on Jack Hanna’s Animal Adventures, The Oprah Winfrey Show, Dateline NBC, and Amazing Tails.

Bombaci states, “Hogan’s story continues to provide the hope. His courage to overcome challenges and prejudice continues to give inspiration to anyone, human or animal, of any age and with any difference, that accomplishment, success, and genuine love are truly possible. Success can happen regardless of the circumstances, and we are worthy of acceptance and love. He taught me how to live my life as a courageous journey, and I want his life to be ‘A gift that keeps on giving.’”
