The internationally awarded Hogan's Hope will once again return to Cheshire to meet the community and offer book signing. Participants are encouraged to bring their copies for an in-person greeting and autograph. Copies are also available for purchase. Elsie, the featured deaf Dalmatian (deaf dog), will help greet folks.
After a two-year hiatus, the First Congregational Church of Cheshire’s Strawberry Festival is coming back.
Nearly every summer for more than 80 years, thousands of people from Cheshire and surrounding communities converge on the historic Church Green to enjoy the time-honored tradition of the Cheshire Strawberry Festival and Craft Fair. It features naturally sweet, farm-fresh strawberry shortcake with lots of whipped cream. In addition, there are hamburgers, hot dogs, popcorn, slushies, and other treats.
An integral part of the festival is an Arts and Crafts Fair which features more than 30 juried artisans and crafters providing wonderfully handcrafted items of all shapes and sizes. Live music serves as a backdrop for this great community event.
This family-friendly event is fun for everyone from toddlers to seniors. The children can enjoy fun games, inflatables, face painting, and a petting zoo. Come join us!
The focus of this year’s festival is to make the event open and enjoyable for all Cheshire residents, regardless of age. And…it’s FREE!!
